In an effort to be socially conscious and to instill the desire to preserve our planet, the Y has gone GREEN!
Our youngest constituents, the preschoolers, participated in a wonderful butterfly project, where they experienced the beauty of our world through the unbelievable metamorphosis from caterpillar to butterfly. Our school age children prepared fabulous and colorful boxes to be used throughout the building for recycling paper. The children in our Jewish Education Department created a fantastic “Green” Bulletin Board to bring awareness to everyone about our mission.
In addition, the Y has constructed a lovely green patio in our play yard. And finally, we now have recycling bins in both the lower and the upper lobbies so that all of our members can participate and can do their part to help keep the Y and our community CLEAN AND GREEN!!!
We intend to keep up the good work and to expand on it. We hope you make it your mission to join us and be GREEN!
